You want to make a portrait for commission, so I need:

One or more photographies at least the size of 4 x 6 inches, rather more largely if it is possible. The animal/person should be well recognizably and the photo accordingly sharply. The typical attitude of your animal (by animal portraits) should become effective. Several pictures from different angles would be best. By a headportrait also only the head should have to be seen, so that I can recognize all details and colours nuances.

Send only photos to me, on which the animal/person is to be seen really good, particularly the eyes are very important. I can only paint, what I see on the picture.

The better the photos, the more life-like your painted portrait!

If you consider, if you liked to have painted an animal in whole size in pastel, 10 x 12 inches or larger it is better, to see all details. DinA 4 (8,11 x 11,81 inches) is suitable more for headportraits, since you would like to recognize if possible all details.

The photos can you send to me by post office or by e-mail.

I ask for a pre-payment of 50 % from the portrait - endprice at the beginning of the work. Until you have approved a final proof of the
finished portrait, you pay the second half. Please remember, the detail of the final portrait is
directly related to the quality and focus of the photographs you send.Extra
photos are also suggested as these can serve as a reference for
colouring,close-up details,and personality.

When the portrait is completed, I send a digital proof of
the final painting to you via e-mail.On the rare occasion that there are any
problems they can be corrected at this stage. When nothing is to correct, I will shipp the Original.

Portraits may be any dimension you prefer. I paint on high quality
paper/stretched canvas/masonite panel using the finest quality materials.

The finished painting is also
sprayed with a light protective fixative to ensure its safety and long life.

I am unable to frame portraits for you as it makes them too expensive to post and there is
a risk of the glass breaking and damaging your portrait.If you have any

Prices may vary slightly according to the specifics of each painting,but the
majority of portraits fall under the rates below.

My prices depends from the technic, size and material.

The prices you see are for one animal or one person portrait or one other motive with simple background. For each additional motive I would have a premium of 30 %. I ask for a pre-payment of 50 % from the portrait - endprice at the beginning of the work.
Portraits sizes, you don't find in the list, you can order by the artelier. Double portraits are only possible at the size of 10 x 14 inches.

Time to Delivery

The time I need for a portrait depends from the order situation.
Normaly in 3-4 weeks, depending on size, technic the portrait is finshed. I need for oilpaintings depending on the size 2- 3 months.

Shipping

I sent my drawings safely packed betweend wooden plates in a heavy weihgt cardboard.
Oilpaintings will be also safely packed.

The parcel will be marked with (Be carefully, don't drop) .

  I sent 24 hours after payment.

The time for dispatch are in germany 1-3 days, europe 4-6 days and worldwide 14- 21 days, depend on the location.

Material

I use high quality artist materials.
These have a high aging resistence.
But they are very senstive, so each portrait should be treated with utmost care.
